THE ROADS THAT LEAD US... (on the anniversary of Andrey Logvin)

The article is dedicated to the anniversary of the archaeologist A. V. Logvin, whose path in science began to be said from the cradle – when every summer, together with his father, he traveled to the field. Currently, he is a specialist in the study of the oldest pages of human history. For more than 20 years, he has been the head of the laboratory of archaeological research at A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University. During this period, bright discoveries were made to study the Bronze Age of Greater Torgay, which are clearly associated with the Logvin Jr period: the continuation of excavations on the burial ground near the settlement of Bestamak, the study of new monuments like Khalvay and Karatomar. Constantly, under the leadership of A. V. Logvin, work is being carried out to identify and fix new archaeology objects in the Kostanay region; a new direction in national archaeology is being developed – the study of the geoglyphs of Torgay, analogues of which have not yet been found on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Archaeological material is studied comprehensively – with the involvement of specialists of related disciplines: anthropology, soil science, palynology, paleozoology, trasology, etc., as a result of which new data are obtained on the ancient history of the Kostanay region.
