Abstract

Within the framework of the international seminar, topical problems and modern methods for studying rock paintings were discussed. The seminar was attended by representatives of science, culture, leading scientists from near and far abroad countries. The international scientific seminar was held in three parallel sessions covering the topics: “Petroglyphic culture: traces of history and drawings”, “Petroglyphic culture: stories and pictograms” and “Petroglyphic culture: world experience and realities of Azerbaijan”. The seminar continued its work on November, 9 in the Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Archaeological Reserve, where participants visited the museum of petroglyphs and got acquainted with the oldest monument of fine art.
