ABOUT THE WORK OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE «ALTAY – THE GOLDEN CRADLE OF THE TURKIC WORLD»

Abstract

On September 6, 2019 the international conference «Altay – the golden cradle of the Turkic world» on the basis of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Scientists from six countries attended the conference, and 15 reports were read and discussed. The Ambassadors of Korea, Turkey and India took part in the event. Participants discussed the results of the projects «Altay – Tarbagatay from the Bronze Age to the Early Middle Ages», «Monuments of antiquity and the Middle Ages of the Shilikty valley and the foothills of Tarbagatay» and the problems of Turkology and Altay studies. At the conference were presented some results of studies of the DNA genome of ancient people in Berel, about Kypchaks in Azerbaijan, the history of ancient Turks according to Chinese sources and other relevant topics, and also was discussed the economic integration of Turkic-speaking countries in the Eurasian space.
